Terms & conditions for harper rose
Property Ownership & Responsibility
All equipment and hire items are the property of us and remain so at all times throughout your hire. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that you are solely responsible for the hire items at all times throughout your hire, from acceptance or pick up of the items until you return the items or they are accepted back by us.
Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £75 is due to secure your date. The balance of your order is to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your event. once paid, each instalment is non-refundable.
If the date or collection is within 2 months, the total order amount is to be paid in full.
Payments are paid via bank transfer. Details will be provided on the invoice.
No collection or delivery of hire items will be made until both the total order and damage deposits are paid in full.
Standard Hire period
Unless arranged at the time of booking, the standard hire time for the items is a maximum of 4 days.
Collection / delivery / set up dates to be determine before final payment is made.
Extended hire will be charged at 15% of the hire value for each additional day past the above four days and must be arranged upon booking.
Failure to return the items within the agreed time frame will incur additional costs. You will be charged 50% of the total order cost for every day over the agreed hire agreement.
Collection & Delivery
Harper Rose events offer free collection for all hire items, from our storage facility in Binfield, Berkshire. Full details will be provided on our invoice.
We offer both a delivery and set up service for orders with a minimum spend of £175. Delivery and set up fees will apply.
We will make every effort to collect and deliver your order at the agreed times, however we will not be liable for any loss arising directly from any delay in the delivery or collection of the hire items.
Hire item condition
Goods in your care will remain your responsibility at all times.
Once the collection / delivery note has been signed, the Hirer shall be solely responsible for the hired goods. Any third parties involved in the event will not be held accountable should any damage or loss of item were to occur whilst in their possession. Such as venue, event planners, florists etc.
On signing the delivery/pick up statement, you are agreeing that the items are in good condition and are as advertised. No complaint on the condition or quality of the items will be valid at a later stage if concerns have not been raised, or if inspection has not occurred before signing this statement. You may not request a reduction/refund on payment based on quality or condition of our items if this statement has been signed.
A refundable damages deposit (the amount of which will be determined when making the booking depending on the hire items and indicated clearly on the invoice) will be due with the final balance. Once the hire items have been returned and checked for any damage or loss. We will return the damage deposit within 5 working days.
If any damage or loss is determined, we will notify the hirer within 5 working days from the date the items were returned and advise on any additional fees. Details of the replacement cost charges are available upon request.
Substitute items will not be accepted and all damaged items remain the property of Harper Rose Events and should therefore be returned.
Privacy policy
Harper Rose Events treat any personal information you provide with the provisions of the data protection act 1988 and will only use the information you supply to contact you in connection with services provided and or/ to respond to requests made by you.
Harper Rose Events do not sell, trade or rent your information to third parties.
Liability
In no circumstance shall our liability to you exceed the invoice value of the contract.
Harper Rose Events shall not be held liable in respect of damages/injury/loss of this hire, as a result of any defect or damage to the item and the customer shall satisfy of the suitability/condition/placement of the equipment upon receipt.
Caution should be exercised in particular with use of glassware, heavy items, or if you choose to place lit candles in our candle holders; we shall not be held liable for any damage/injury/loss caused as a result of using any hired items. Permission should be agreed from the venue as to the suitability of all items hired.
Law
These terms and conditions and any contract formed between us shall be governed by the law of England and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English court.
If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your goods your statutory rights are not affected and complaints can be made by emailing lydia@harperroseevents.co.uk.
